ZUSAMMENFASSUNG

Seit Jahrzenten empfehlen Fachgesellschaften für Patienten mit Typ-2-Diabetes eine fettarme und kohlenhydratbetonte Ernährung. Diese kann aber zu einer Insulinresistenz führen, was wiederum eine diastolische Dysfunktion zur Folge haben kann. Deshalb wurde bei einem adipösen Typ-2-Diabetiker mit Herzinsuffizienz und Insulinresistenz ein anderes Konzept angewendet: Eine dreiwöchige diätetische Therapie mit kohlenhydratreduzierter Kost und moderatem Bewegungstraining.
