In this issue, an overview of the presentations from the 110th Annual Meeting of the Swiss Society Of Ophthalmology (SSO) is given. As in many countries nowadays, one of the important issues of a societyʼs work is political (specialization curriculum, exams, reimbursement, etc.), but it is still also important not to forget that medical and ophthalmic progress is only possible thanks to systematic observations along with basic and clinical research. So, it is always a great pleasure to see that not only university hospitals but also other large hospitals, private clinics, and private practices are presenting their precious research, observations, and interesting cases each year.
