This issue of Homeopathy features a paper by Relton et al reporting a randomised controlled trial (RCT), of homeopathy for Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS). The trial was of small scale and described as a feasibility study. But it showed statistically significant and clinically useful improvement in patients receiving additional homeopathic care, compared to usual care alone, particularly in terms of function.[ 1 ] This is the fourth published RCT of homeopathy for Fibromyalgia, but it marks a significant departure from previous work in terms of design and outcomes.
