Abstract
Enteritis cystica profunda, an uncommon condition, is characterized by nonneoplastic
cystic spaces within the wall of the small bowel. The third case of enteritis cystica
profunda in children is presented with special emphasis on diagnosis and treatment.
This rare entity may mimic acute abdomen and should be kept in mind in the differential
diagnosis. Surgical excision of the involved segment is the appropriate treatment.
Zusammenfassung
Die Enteritis cystica profunda ist eine seltene Erkrankung, die durch nicht tumorbedingte
zystische Veränderungen innerhalb der Dünndarmwand charakterisiert ist.
Es wird der dritte Fall einer Enteritis cystica profunda im Kindesalter vorgestellt
und auf die Diagnose und Therapie eingegangen. Klinisch kann die Erkrankung ein akutes
Abdomen vortäuschen und sollte deshalb differentialdiagnostisch bei diesen Symptomen
in Betracht gezogen werden.
Die chirurgische Therapie besteht in einer Resektion des betroffenen Darmabschnittes.
