Angioma of the Great Vein of Galen

Abstract

Case report of a boy now aged 3 1/2 years, but initially operated upon by ventriculo-peritoneal shunt at the age of 8 1/2 months, followed a week later by the parieto-occipital interhemispheric approach for total extirpation of the lesion. The clinical progress post-operatively was slow but satisfactory, with eventual recovery of his right hemiparesis.

Fallbericht eines 3 1/2Jährigen Jungen, der zuerst mit einem ventrikulo-peritonealen Shunt versorgt und bei dem in 2. Sitzung das Vena-Galeni-Angiom über den interhemisphärischen parieto-okzipitalen Zugang total entfernt werden konnte. Der klinische Verlauf war normal, die rechtsseitige Hemiparese ist in Rückbildung.
