Plasmozytom der Orbita

Zusammenfassung

Es wird über eine 69jährige Patientin mit linksseitigem Exophthalmus berichtet, der durch einen Plasmazelltumor bedingt war. Als Ursache eines solchen Tumors muß eine Myelomatose, ein solitäres Myelom des Knochens oder ein extramedulläres Plasmozytom in Betracht gezogen werden. Auf Grund des klinischen Bildes wird vermutet, dass es sich um eine Manifestation einer Myelomatose handelt. Die klinischen Befunde, das Resultat der axialen Computertomographie und der Echographie werden diskutiert.

Summary

Report on a 69-year-old woman with exophthalmos in the left eye caused by a plasma-cell tumor. The differential diagnosis of this tumor includes myelomatosis, solitary myeloma of bone and extra-medullary plasmacytoma. The clinical features suggest an orbital involvement of myelomatosis. The results of physical examination and findings in axial computer tomography and ultrasonography are discussed.
