Zusammenfassung

Ein Papillenödem mit Visusminderung bei einem 50jährigen praktisch einäugigen Patienten gibt Gelegenheit auf die Möglichkeit einer Sehnervenschädigung durch eine syphilitische Infektion hinzuweisen.

Summary

A case of papilledema with reduction of vision in a 50-year-old patient is discussed and the possibility of damage to the optic nerve caused by syphilitic infection is pointed out.
