Blutzucker- und Fettstoffwechselparameter bei diabetischer Retinopathie*

Zusammenfassung

Bei Typ I und Typ II Diabetikern wurden Hämoglobin A_lc sowie Triglyceride, Gesamtcholesterin, HDL- und LDL-Cholesterin und die Apolipoproteine A I und B bestimmt und mit einer Kontrollgruppe stoffwechselgesunder Personen verglichen. Bei den Diabetikern waren die HbA_1c-Werte signifikant erhöht, wiesen aber - über mehrere Jahre beobachtet - große Schwankungen auf. Einige Fettstoffwechselparameter zeigten auch signifikante Unterschiede zur Kontrollgruppe und bei den meisten Diabetikern waren ein oder mehrere Fettstoffwechselparameter im pathologischen Bereich. Wir konnten jedoch keine Korrelation zwischen den Blutzukker- und Fettstoffwechselparametern und der diabetischen Retinopathie nachweisen.

Summary

In Type I and Type II diabetics hemoglobin A_1c, triglycerides, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and the apolipoproteins A I and B were determined and compared with a control group. In diabetics the HbA_lc values were significantly higher, but were found to fluctuate considerably during several years of observation. Some parameters of lipid metabolism also differed significantly from those in the control group and in most of the diabetics one or more parameters of lipid metabolisms were in the pathologic range. However, no correlation was found between the parameters of blood glucose and lipid metabolism on the one hand and diabetic retinopathy on the other.
