Subretinales Granulom mit Verkalkung bei Toxocariasis

Zusammenfassung

Wir berichten über einen 27jährigen Patienten mit serologisch gesicherter okulärer Toxocariasis. In dem subretinalen Granulom wurden sowohl in der Röntgen-Übersicht der Orbita als auch im Computer-Tomogramm radiologisch Verkalkungen nachgewiesen. Die bisher immer wieder erwähnte fehlende Verkalkung in Toxocara-Granulomen, als differentialdiagnostisches Kriterium zum Retinoblastom muß unseres Erachtens relativiert werden.

Summary

A 27 year old male patient with a subretinal granuloma was diagnosed as having a serologically established toxocara infection (Immunoprecipitation test in living larva). Calcifications could be demonstrated in X-ray and CT-scan imaging. The significance of calcifications for the differential diagnosis of retinoblastoma must be seen in relative terms.
