Eine konvex-konkave Kontaktlinse für vitreoretinale Operationen mit dem BIOM

Zusammenfassung

Für vitreoretinale Operationen unter Weitwinkelbeobachtung mit dem BIOM wurde eine neue konvex-konkave Kontaktlinse entwickelt. Bei Augen, die Silikonöl enthalten, verhindert sie die Bildung eines optisch störenden Öl-Wasser-Films auf der Oberfläche der Hornhaut. Sie führt deshalb intraoperativ zu einer wesentlichen Verbesserung des Funduseinblickes ohne die optischen Qualitäten des BIOMs einzuschränken.

Summary

A new convex-concave contact lens for wide-angle vitreoretinal surgery with the BIOM was developed. Placed on an eye, in which silicone oil is injected, it prevents the formation of an optically disturbing oil-water-film on the surface of the cornea. Thus the new contact lens leads to an essential improvement of the fundus view intraoperatively without affecting the optical properties of the BIOM.
