ABSTRACT

We present a case of fetal seizures diagnosed by ultrasound. Clinical aspects of this patient and the differential diagnosis of early neonatal seizures are discussed.

A diagnosis of fetal seizures confirmed by ultrasonography is a rare event. Review of the literature shows only four cases of documented fetal seizures.1-3 This report describes a case of fetal seizures diagnosed in utero, its management, and the neonatal outcome. We also discuss the differential diagnosis.
