Suzuki-Miyaura Cross-Coupling Reactions of β-Aminoethyltrifluoroborates

Significance

β-Phenethylamines are an extremely important class of biologically active compounds, widely occurring in nature. The herein reported general, direct preparation of these compounds from aryl electrophiles is of high importance for the pharmaceutical chemistry. This method uses indefinitely stable, crystalline potassium organo­trifluoroborates as nucleophile components for the cross-coupling reaction. It displays excellent tolerance to functional groups and is relatively simple to perform.
