After right upper lobectomy and combined resection of the chest wall, the 3rd and 4th ribs were reconstructed using titanium hollow screw reconstruction plates (THORP). THORP completely prevented postoperative paradoxical respiration. The postoperative course was satisfactory. Postoperatively radiation therapy was performed, and the patient is now alive, without recurrence, 7 months after surgery. THORP is simple and eminently applicable in reconstructing the large chest wall. Key words Lung cancer - Chest wall invasion - Chest wall reconstruction - Titanium plate PDF (1459 kb)
