Significance

The one-step synthesis of 1,3,4-oxadiazoles by using commercially available PS-PPh3 resin was demonstrated. 1,3,4-Oxadiazoles were prepared from a variety of carboxylic acids and acid hydrazides by using PS-PPh3 resin and trichloroacetonitrile at 150 °C in acetonitrile with microwave heating (11 examples).
