Abstract

Proper lag-screw positioning in the femoral head is the most important factor in a successful Gamma nailing, in order to minimize the postoperative complications originating from the standard surgical technique. We now introduce a new targeting device for the correct insertion of the lag screw of the Gamma nail into the femoral head in the treatment of trochanteric fractures.
