Score-System als Entscheidungshilfe - Operatives oder konservatives Behandlungskonzept bei spinalen Metastasen

Zusammenfassung

Spinale Metastasen bei Malignomen sind häufig, sie treten in 70 % der metastasierenden Tumoren auf, 30-40 % davon zeigen klinische Symptome und 10 % verursachen eine Kompression des Rückenmarks. Sie können heute gezielt diagnostiziert werden. Für eine genaue Planung des Therapiekonzepts ist ein Score-System für Wirbelmetastasen sinnvoll, das die prognostisch wichtigen Parameter des Patienten gewichtet. So kann reproduzierbar in eine operative und konservative Gruppe differenziert und die Risiken für den Patienten kontrolliert werden.

Summary

Spinal metastases are frequent and occur in 70 % of all malignant tumours; 30-40 % produce symptoms and 10 % present compression of the spinal cord. They can be diagnosed exactly by magnetresonance imaging (MRI). With a score-system proposed it is possible to analyse the prognostic important parameters of any patient with spinal metastases. The score-system helps to decide the form of therapy - operative or conservative - to control the risk for the patient.
