Zusammenfassung

Patienten mit Morbus Crohn (M.C.) und Colitis ulcerosa (C.U.) entwickeln im Verlauf ihrer Erkrankung häufig Komplikationen. Diese lassen sich in intestinale und extraintestinale Komplikationen einteilen. Zu den intestinalen Komplikationen zählen die gastrointestinale Blutung, das toxische Megakolon, die Perforation, Strikturen, Stenosen, Fisteln, Abszesse und das kolorektale Karzinom. Die systemischen Komplikationen und Manifestationen, diesämtliche Organe befallen können, weisen chronisch entzündliche Darmerkrankungen (CED) als Systemerkrankungen aus. Die Vielgestaltigkeit der Krankheitsbilder erfordert ein individuell zugeschnittenes therapeutisches Vorgehen.

Summary

During the course of their illness patients with Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC) often develop complications that can be divided into intestinal and extra-intestinal complications. The former include, gastrointestinal bleeding, toxic megacolon, perforation, strictures, stenoses, fistulas, abscesses and colorectal carcinoma. The systemic complications and manifestations, which may affect all organs, point to chronic inflammatory bowel disease as a systemic illness. The multifarious nature of the clinical presentations makes necessary an individual therapeutic approach.
