Kapselendoskopie in Deutschland

Zusammenfassung

Die Kapselendoskopie ist ein neues diagnostisches Verfahren, mit dem erstmals eine nichtinvasive Methode zur Detektion von Dünndarmerkrankungen zur Verfügung steht. Haupteinsatzbereich der Kapselendoskopie ist bisher die okkulte/obskure gastrointestinale Blutung. In einer im Juli 2002 durchgeführten Befragung an 9 deutschen Kliniken konnte dies eindrücklich bestätigt werden. Hierbei zeigten sich weitere Erkrankungen, die mit dem neuen endoskopischen Verfahren evaluiert werden können und möglicherweise neue Aspekte der Erkrankung liefern: chronisch entzündliche Darmerkrankungen, Lymphome, die familiäre adenomatöse Polyposis und das Reizdarmsyndrom mit den chronischen Diarrhoen. Die Ergebnisse der Befragung werden anhand der aktuellen Literatur diskutiert.

Abstract

Wireless capsule endoscopy is a new noninvasive diagnostic procedure to detect diseases of the entire small intestine. Main possible field of application is currently the occult/obscure gastrointestinal bleeding. This was confirmed in a german survey within 9 hospitals which have experience with the capsule endoscopy. Further additional applications for the wireless capsule could be chronic inflammatory disease, lymphoma, familial adenomatous polyposis and chronic abdominal pain or patients with chronic diarrhea. The capsule could possibly deliver new aspects within these diseases. The results of the german survey will be discussed with the present literature.
