Abstract

From 1996 to 2000 at the department of gynaecology of CTKC a total of 5 124 pelviscopien were done. More than 72 % during the 5-years-period were surgical pelviscopies, the share was increasing from 64 % in the year 1996 to 80.5 % in 2000. Serious complications were occurred in 0.22 % of patients. The most frequent serious complication was the bowel injury, the statistically risk increased with the number of previously laparotomies. Slight complications were observed in 2.4 % of the cases, the overall complication rate was at 2.62 %. Lethal complications were not seen in the investigated period, a significant increase of complication rate during the 5-years-period could not be proved. The most frequent indication for pelviscopy were adnexal processes followed by pelvic pain, the most performed procedures were adhesiolysis and conservative operations for adnexal diseases.
