Abstract
Acute spinal subdural haematoma is a rare cause of spinal cord compression which occurs
mainly in patients with a bleeding diathesis. This report presents a case of a spontaneous
spinal subdural haematoma demonstrated by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and treated
by a minimal invasive operation. We would like to stress that laminectomy is rarely
neccesary with MRI examination for planning of the neurosurgical operation.
