Hintergrund

Eine junge Patientin stellte sich nach einem längeren Aufenthalt in Asien und Afrika mit einer akuten Sehverschlechterung am linken Auge vor. In dieser Situation bot sich ein breites Spektrum möglicher tropenmedizinischer und anderer Ursachen. Die eingehende Abklärung ergab die Konstellation eines untypischen Zentralvenenverschlusses, der möglicherweise durch eine Co-Pathogenese von Borrelieninfektion und Cytomegalievirus-Infektion (CMV)-Manifestation bedingt sein könnte.
