There exists a disproportion between the requirements of an optimal rehabilitation research and the financial means available. For this reason, the official financial backers are interested in analytical methods (models) for the evaluation of such research projects which will furnish them with a numerical justification of their actions. The authors present such a model which has been developed by a TIRRRice interdisciplinary team.

* This project was supported by Grant 13-P-55235 (Supplement) from the Division of Research and Demonstration Grants, Social and Rehabilitation Service, Department of Health, Education and “Velfare, Washington, D. C. 20201. The authors are indebted to the SRS Project Officer, Dr. Rodney Pelton, for continued suggestions and encouragement.
