The automatic measurement of electrocardiograms by a digital computer during exercise in telemetric experiments is tested. The noise content in the ECG is analysed and different statistical methods for diminishing the noise content are applied. Possibilities for the evaluation of the base line are discussed. The automatically and manually evaluated electrocardiographic parameters are compared.
