A video information system, whose basic principles have been known for many years on airports, brought a considerable alleviation of daily work in a surgical unit where the latter is operated according to the double corridor principle. In such a structure, the »sterile« operative personnel is partly separated from the anaesthesiological department. Communication between the two groups is of fundamental importance and can be satisfactorily maintained with the aid of the video information system.
Ein Video-Informationssystem, dessen Grundprinzip schon seit vielen Jahren auf Flughäfen bekannt ist, hat eine große Erleichterung der täglichen Arbeit in einer nach dem Doppel-Korridor-Prinzip betriebenen Operationsabteilung gebracht. Bei einer solchen Struktur arbeitet das »sterile« operative Personal teilweise getrennt von dem der Anästhesieabteilung. Die Kommunikation zwischen den beiden Gruppen ist von fundamentaler Bedeutung und kann mit dem Video-Informationssystem befriedigend aufrechterhalten werden.
