Automated Indexing Based on SNOMED

Summary

Structure and content of SNOMED are described with special consideration of the German edition. An introduction into the problems of automated indexing and the related structural elements of SNOMED is given because they are the basis of algorithms for automated indexing to be published in subsequent papers.

Struktur und Inhalt der SNOMED werden unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der deutschen Ausgabe beschrieben. Es wird vor allem Wert auf eine Einführung in die Probleme der automatischen Indexierung und auf die damit zusammenhängenden Strukturelemente der SNOMED gelegt, da sie die Grundlage der noch zu publizierenden Algorithmen zur automatischen Indexierung sind.
