Abstract
The ventriculoperitoneal shunt is an application of the hydrodynamic principle of communicating vessels. There are frequent hydrodynamic complications in the patients submitted to shunting.
A revision of the hydrodynamic factors involved in the ventriculoperitoneal shunt was made and their hydrodynamic complications were analyzed.
