Aesthetic Modifications for Toe to Hand Transfers

Introduction: It is a fact that toe to hand transfers have an important drawback regarding appearance, for the patient and public. We present the different techniques we use, intended for correct that misshaping, most of them in the first procedure.

Methodology and Material:

  • -Pulp remodeling

  • -Distal Interphalangeal arthrodesis

  • -Defatting

  • -Skin excess resection

  • -Nail matrix remodeling (in Wrap Around Flap)

  • -Lipoinjection (in secondary procedures)

Results: We present to the auditory some clinical cases of aesthetic modifications in toe to hand transfer for consideration.

Conclusions: 1.- We present different techniques for correcting the misshape between toes and fingers.

2.- We consider that it is possible to safely remodel the appearance of a toe to hand transfer during the first procedure.
