Head Mounted Video Camera 2013 Patent Pending N. RM2013A000601 Registered on: 31/10/2013
Introduction: The idea of a head mounted videocamera for surgical purposes as been foreseen by some time now. Nowadays the request is born from the use of the Reconstructive Microsurgery, as a technique that uses delicate tools and in particular glasses or Loopes with an optical magnification from 1,5 to 8-10X in some cases.
Methodology and Material: This Head Mounted Video Camera, was built on 2013, for Microsurgery and Surgical specialties. The technical features are a Video FULL HD 1920x 1080 high quality, AVCHD. Its ZOOM, is 0 -30 X and operated by Manual or Foot Remote. The image is stabilized through an optical system. One of the most important detail of this videocamera, is the internal mirror for precision tilting and adjustments of the frame. A Light Source Double Optical Led is to guarantee a very good view to the surgeons, but also to the videocamera. A Play memories Home and one Integrated Software are very useful For PC, Editing, DVD, Emails, Web, Photocamera. Total Weight 400 gr, and dimensions Cm 10 × 4 x 5.
Results: This Videocamera is useful in all Surgical Specialties, also for naked eye view.
This Videocamera on Microsurgical technique can demonstrate the differences between eye and Microscopic vision in the same surgical field at the same time. Also it’s fundamental to not underestimate the economic advantage of managing personally, by the operative surgeon, the direct view of the operative field
Conclusions: In the operating room, and in other locations where manual work is being performed by an individual with very fine objects, in deep cavities, or in hard-to reach places, often it is impossible for others to observe the operations being performed without being interfered with the movements of the worker. In particular, in the surgical field, it’s necessary for students or those assisting in the operation, to watch better the surgery. Becomes fundamental then a photographic and video documentation of the surgical and microsurgical activity, implemented with Glasses or Loopes, for scientific purposes, as didactical training, meetings, as for medico-legal purposes, today always more and more important in the surgical activity
