Abstract

The endoscopic treatment of bleeding varices remains a challenge for interventional endoscopists. New concepts of endoscopic treatment using EUS, coils, stents and BRTO and recently published data on the use of cyanoacrylate as a safe and effective method for the treatment of gastric and esophageal varices are are critically discussed.
