Abstract

We report on an asymptomatic patient with focal liver lesions. Metastases were suspected. Biopsy and histological examination revealed hemangioendothelioma. Hemangioendothelioma is a rare liver neoplasia which can be diagnosed using contrast enhanced ultrasound since portal venous hypoenhancement is indicative for neoplastic or inflammatory infiltration and, therefore, for biopsy and histological examination.
