Die Grenzen konventioneller Dialyseregimes mit vorwiegender Elimination niedermolekularer Urämietoxine und unzureichender Elimination von Phosphat und Mittelmolekülen (MM) rücken zunehmend ins wissenschaftliche Interesse. Denn immer mehr Studien dokumentieren die Vorteile einer erhöhten konvektiven Elimination von MM mit High-Flux-Dialysatoren und insbesondere durch die Hämodiafiltration (HDF).
