Zusammenfassung

Die Psychoneuroimmunologie erforscht die Wechselwirkungen von Psyche, Nerven- und Immunsystem. Eindeutig belegt ist eine erhöhte Infektanfälligkeit bei körperlicher und psychischer Überforderung (‚Stress“). Der Artikel gibt einen Überblick über mögliche psychosomatische Belastungsfaktoren bei verschiedenen Viruserkrankungen. Die Erforschung solch komplexer Phänomene in der Psychosomatik erfordert neue, aufwendige Studiendesigns und steht noch am Anfang.
