Zusammenfassung

Die Exfoliation – oder Abschilferung – der Ösophagusschleimhaut ist oft ein beeindruckendes klinisches Bild, das jedoch nur ein gemeinsames Symptom mehrerer, teilweise ätiologisch stark unterschiedlicher, zugrundeliegender Pathologien bildet. Anhand eines Falls, der auf beeindruckende Weise das klassische klinisch-endoskopische Bild zeigt, soll in vorliegender Arbeit in kurzer Form auf die möglichen, einer Exfoliation der Ösophagusschleimhaut zugrundeliegenden Krankheiten eingegangen werden, um dem Leser für den klinischen Alltag eine diagnostische Stütze hinsichtlich möglicher Differenzialdiagnosen zu geben.

Abstract

The exfoliation of the mucosa of the esophagus is usually an impressive clinical finding, and represents a common symptom of various, often etiologically diverse diseases. We present a clinically and endoscopically typical case of exfoliative esophagitis and briefly discuss possible underlying diseases, thereby providing assistance for differential diagnostic considerations in daily practice.
