Geosmithia langdonii (Ascomycota: Hypocreales) is a filamentous fungus and considered as associate built by bark beetles. In this study, G. langdonii was grown on PDB media and provided the isolation of one new compound; methyl-2-methoxy-2-(4-oxo-5,6-dihydro-2 H-pyran-3yl)acetate (1) along with three known compounds; 3,4-dihydroxytoluene (2), 3,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde (3) and 2-hydroxy-6-methylbezoic acid (4). The structures of the isolated metabolites were elucidated based on NMR spectroscopic and mass spectrometry data. All the isolated compounds were evaluated for their antimalarial, antileishmanial, antimicrobial and antileukemic activities.
