The key aspect of this contribution is the excellent E-selectivity achieved. Therefore, the second sentence in the Significance section should read: ‘Both acyclic and cyclic alkynes, even larger than ten-membered ring systems, are applicable to give excellent E-selectivity.’ We apologize for this mistake.
