Abstract

For the increasing miniaturization of the surgical corridors a corresponding miniaturization of the surgical instruments will be mandatory in the future. The transmission of the tool movements of the surgical instruments cannot be longer realized, as previously only mechanically the example of a Bowden system, and will need wire controlled actuators. In the same way as the miniaturization of the instruments will go forward the steril space in the operation theatre will be miniaturized.
