Abstract

Peristomal dermatoses (PD) are a frequent complication in abdominal stomata. These include a broad spectrum of differential diagnoses like toxic-irritative or allergic contact dermatitis, infections, pre-existing skin diseases like Psoriasis vulgaris, tumors or cutaneous manifestations of chronic-inflammatory intestinal diseases. In this article, three case reports are used to offer an overview of the frequency, etiopathogenesis and clinical characteristics as well as the corresponding diagnostics and therapy of PD.
