Significance
Tetrahydroquinolines are biologically relevant molecules that have attracted a great deal of synthetic interest. While there are numerous methods of the construction of such structural motifs, the synthesis of enantiopure products from easily obtained chiral starting materials remains an attractive strategy. Furthermore, the synthesis of such compounds in a domino one-pot fashion is noteworthy and allows for ease of synthesis.
