The Suzuki Coupling with Phosphine Dendrimer-Stabilized Nano Nickel

Significance

Phosphine dendrimer stabilized nickel nanoparticles (G3DenP-Ni) were prepared by reduction of NiCl2 with NaBH4 in the presence of a third-generation phosphine dendrimer and TOABr. G3DenP-Ni catalyzed the Suzuki coupling of aryl halides 1 and arylboronic acids 2 in the presence of K3PO4˙7H2O to give the corresponding biaryls 3 in 86-100% yield (30 examples).
