Significance

This work reports a rhodium-catalyzed Pauson-Khand-type reaction in a one-pot procedure. Alcohols are used as carbon monoxide source, whereby the dehydrogenation, decarbonylation, and metal carbonyl complex formation take place in a cascade reaction which requires only a single catalyst species.
