Significance

The newly described chiral meta­thesis catalyst displays high reactivity and selectivity, in many cases surpassing that of chiral 3,4-disubstituted ligands. Remarkably, the catalyst loading can be lowered to 0.05 mol% without significantly diminishing conversion or ee.
