Zusammenfassung

Bei einem 39jährigen Patienten kam es zur Entfernung eines im rechten vorderen Mediastinum gelegenen zystischen Xanthofibroms. Der Eingriff erwies sich als erfolgreich, der Patient ist symptom- und beschwerdefrei. Anschließend wird die Klinik dieses seltenen gutartigen Tumors erläutert.

Summary

A cystic xanthofibroma situated in the right anterior mediastinum was removed in a 39 year old patient. The operation proved to be successful. The patient is free of symptoms. The clinical characteristics of this rare benign tumour are discussed.
