Zusammenfassung

Neben der Antikoagulantientherapie kommt der Nahttechnik der Fascia lata-Klappen für den Mitralklappenersatz eine wesentliche Bedeutung zu. Von 28 Patienten mit Mitralklappenersatz durch Fascia lata, die bisher bis zu 2 Jahre nach der Operation beobachtet wurden, wies klinisch kein einziger eine schrumpfungsbedingte Herzklappeninsuffizienz auf.

Summary

Apart from anticoagulation, the suture technique for fascia latae valves in mitral valve replacement is important. None of the 28 patients who underwent mitral valve replacement with fascia latae showed valvular insufficiency due to shrinkage in a follow up study of up to two years.
