Summary

The successful extraction of a foreign body which got stuck in the pyloric canal in a 6-year-old girl via gastroscope is reported. Therapeutic gastroscopy was performed in general anesthesia. Surgery seems to be avoidable in most cases of foreign bodies which do not pass the pylorus.
