Summary

From our endoscopical long-term observations, we reported the evaluation of malignant change from benign gastric ulcer. Many problems will have to be solved in the future. It is very difficult to confirm the course of malignant change from the morphological follow-up study. We can only emphasize that the biopsy study at the healing stage and 3 to 6 months later is indispensable for the ulcer control and the evaluation of ulcer-carcinoma.

Zusammenfassung

Die Fragestellung, ob sich aus einem chronischen benignen Magengeschwür ein Karzinom entwickeln kann, läßt sich durch endoskopische Verlaufsbeobachtungen nur schwer beantworten. Biopsien im Heilungsstadium und 3 bis 6 Monate später erscheinen besonders wichtig bei dieser Fragestellung.
