Duplication of the Pylorus (Gastroduodenal Band)

Summary

Reports on a genuine duplication of the pylorus (pyloric band) are presently limited to two only. We were able for the first time to establish and document a further case of this rare malformation by endoscopic means and subsequently to verify it at autopsy. In the present article the case is described and its possible aetiopathogenesis discussed.

Über echte Doppelbildungen des Pylorus (pylorisches Band) liegen bisher erst zwei Fallberichte vor. Eine weitere dieser äußerst seltenen Mißbildungen konnten wir endoskopisch erstmals diagnostizieren, dokumentieren sowie später autoptisch verifizieren. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird deren Kasuistik mitgeteilt und die mögliche Ätiopathogenese diskutiert.
