Die Phlebographie bei Lungen- oder Mediastinaltumoren ist eine einfache, komplikationsarme Untersuchungsmethode, die wichtige präoperative Informationen über Zirkulationsstörungen im Bereich der großen mediastinalen Venen und der Lungenstrombahn gibt. Sie vereinfacht bei malignen Tumoren oft die Operabilitätsbeurteilung und kann dem Patienten risikoreiche diagnostische Eingriffe ersparen.

Summary

Preoperative mediastinal angiography, as a simple method, shows alterations of pulmonary and venous mediastinal circulation. It enables the surgeon to evaluate the operability of malignant thoracic neoplasms without performance of other diagnostic procedure with a higher rate of complications, e.g. mediastinoscopy or explorative thoractomy.
