Transmediastinale Pleurotomie

Zusammenfassung

Es wird eine Operationstechnik, die transmediastinale Pleurotomie, vorgestellt. Mit dieser Methode kann von einer lateralen Thorakotomie aus die gegenseitige Lunge exploriert, gegebenenfalls auch kleine diagnostische oder therapeutische, atypische Resektionen durchgeführt werden. Bisher wurden 20 eigene Eingriffe ohne Komplikationen durchgeführt.

Summary

A new surgical method is presented, the transmediastinal pleurotomy. With this technique it is possible to explore the opposite lung from a standard thoracotomy and to perform diagnostic or therapeutic resections in suitable cases. So far we have performed 20 transmediastinal pleurotomies without any complications.
