Summary
The spreading of tumor tissue in the bronchial mucosa is described. In the various endoscopic views a fine rasp-like roughness as well as yellow coarse sand-shaped tubercles are most characteristic in a soft mucosa with bleeding tendency. The endoscopic similarity with analogous lesions is very often identified by the rich cytological findings of tumor cells. In 2000 primary bronchial carcinomas there were 142 cases of carcinosis of the bronchial mucosa.
