Bridging the Gap: Wie Implementierungsforschung die Physiotherapie verbessern kann

Seit den Anfängen der physiotherapeutischen Forschung, der Forderung nach evidenzbasierter Physiotherapiepraxis sowie der Etablierung der Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) wurde ein umfassender Korpus qualitativ hochwertiger Primär- und Sekundärliteratur geschaffen, der eine wissenschaftlich begründete Entscheidungsfindung in der Physiotherapie ermöglicht [1] [2]. Die Veröffentlichung der Forschungsergebnisse allein reicht jedoch nicht aus, entscheidend ist die Umsetzung in die Praxis. Im Durchschnitt dauert es etwa 17 Jahre, bis neue wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse tatsächlich in den klinischen Alltag einfließen und weniger als 50 Prozent davon finden überhaupt den Weg in die dauerhafte praktische Anwendung. Der Rest bleibt ungenutzt und steht Patient*innen damit nicht zur Verfügung [3] [4].
